Point & Click games originated back in 1984 when "Enchanted Scepters" a game for the Macintosh that brought point & click into its own genre.

Today's task required us to follow step by step to create a basic point and click game that involved clicking a position the map to move the player and then right clicking on an object to add it to your inventory.

The game used arrays to store the players inventory (left image) which stored a unique number for each pick-up and allowed for the game to better manage picking up and displaying items in your inventory (right image) which used the array to show each item in order of appearance.

We also learnt about using groups and comments to better organise and keep up with what were writing. The groups give an overall title to the section of code within it and the comments allow us to keep track of what were doing where and so if we were to leave the group for a while and then come back to it, we could instantly know what was planned and what is going on at the time.

In conclusion this task has allowed me to learn new skills within Construct specifically related to Point & Click games (and some not). I think these skills will allow me to develop my own projects more effectively and efficiently.
