I have created/further developed sprites for a range of objects, for example, the main character, enemy, and different elements for the tilemap. This will allow me to put these into the game to further develop it. I used Piskel to design each of the sprites and I think this is the best tool for me to use.

I used reference images to create the zombie and the firework and a quick Google image search inspired the design. Of-course I will need to further develop them in the future to match future sprites but at the moment I feel that they all seem to fit nicely together.

I struggled to create the main character as I had never done side-on character sprites before and so this reflected on the zombie also. However after constant development I found a skin colour that fit and also was able to correctly size them. The zombie could still require some work but its definitely getting there.

I have learnt how to create character sprites from the side angle which will allow me to do more of the same in the future.
