Comparison to OBS Studio

Like OBS Studio, CamStudio is completely free from the correct source however the software is discontinued and so finding a safe source might be difficult. Especially when multiple websites are saying that it contains malware. It only allows for one audio track and so recording your microphone and computer audio together can be difficult as it would require another 3rd party program.

Conclusion

I wouldn't use this software because although it is free, the reviews and other websites suggest that for one, it might not be safe, and two it seems to output very large files for no reason. However if you feel that you need a lightweight screen recorder and have no access to OBS studio, this piece of software might be for you.
