OBS Studio is a piece of software that allows you to record a wide range of sources from your computer. Alternatively, you can also live stream the output to popular sites. The software contains different sections that allow you to do different things. A view section which shows what will be recorded, the scenes section which allows swapping scenes to show different sources, the sources section which you can add, remove and modify different capture sources. You can also modify the audio from selecting inputs, to changing the volume.

OBS Studio was very intuitive and so with the very basic knowledge of the software, you could use it on a daily basis with little to no trouble. I used a tutorial video and watched it from start to finish once and then afterwards was able to use the software without trouble and without needing to reference the video again.

I think the biggest difficulty was deciding on the quality settings for the recording as it solely depends on the quality of hardware in which you have. I think once you understand the settings that work for you, it is much easier to monitor and alter things as and when you need to.

In the future, the software will allow me to showcase certain aspects of my work and act as an alternative way to blog about different topics on my website. I can use it to record myself working or play testing games or even finding research. I know that OBS Studio has a multitude of sources to use and so whatever I feel I need to record, it should be possible with this piece of software.
