In the mid 1980's "Code Masters" and the "Oliver Twins" released a number of "simulator" game; BMX Simulator, Pro Boxing Simulator. Simulators originally used to focus on one particular part of the main characters life but have since developed to include a wide range of features to help guide the characters life through wacky scenarios. Recent titles include: Cities Skylines, Sims 4, Rimworld, Rollercoaster Tycoon World. All featuring the original mechanics... creating life in totally different scenarios. Basically experiencing a life outside of your own in sometimes unbelievable circumstances.

How will this research help me to create my final product?
By having knowledge of lots of different genres allows me to more easily come up with an idea for my final product as I won't be restricted to a certain few genres. Although this research may not directly affect my final product, it will give me options when it comes to the idea.
